Welcome to our Club
On May 14, 1974, the Austrian Canadian Edelweiss Club of Regina was founded. Its aim was to preserve and promote Austrian culture and traditions. The objective today is to continue providing opportunities to celebrate Austrian culture. And through the camaraderie of the membership and subgroups, the love of Austrian culture is maintained. We aim to keep Austrian traditions alive in Regina and we invite you to join us!
A journey through Austria would be a trip of a life time. Your adventure could find you in a guest house for some yodeling, schuplattling and beer or at a Mozart recital in a grand concert ballroom. Either way, Austria has something for everyone. A taste of Austrian would include mouth watering wiener schnitzel, bratwurst, sauerkraut and potato salad. The aroma of apple strudel and sacher torte would be simply irresistible. A visit to Austria would reveal alps, farm land, castles, bustling cities and quaint villages, but what you would remember most would be the friendly people who would smile and wish you “Gruss Got” or God’s greetings and “Gemutlichkeit” or best of health.
The Austrian Canadian Edelweiss club of Regina first became involved in Mosaic in May of 1978. 32 years have passed and each and every year since, The Austrian Club has hosted a pavilion in Mosaic. The Austrian Club is proud to have shared these 32 years. We congratulate Regina Multicultural Council on Mosaic’s 45th anniversary, and we hope to see you at our pavilion for many years to come.
